Slice Of 11-Year-Old Royal Wedding Cake Made By Fleckney Baker Set To Sell For Hundreds

An 11-year-old piece of Prince William’s wedding cake made by a baker from Fleckney is set to sell for hundreds of pounds at auction.
The slice was part of Fiona Cairns’ amazing eight-tier fruit cake made for his wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011 and could fetch between £400 and £600.
It’s been kept in the official tin it was given in ever since and will go under the hammer next week along with other royal-themed items at Keys Auctioneers in Norfolk.

Another slice of royal cake which is going under the hammer – it’s 17-years-old and is from the 2005 wedding of the now King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla.
Tim Blyth, director at Keys, said: “With the accession of a new King, and with Prince William subsequently becoming the new Prince of Wales, interest in Royal memorabilia is very high at the moment, and we expect there to be brisk bidding for these two slices of history.”
