Drivers have been left confused after signs were placed in Market Harborough town centre about the roadworks on Leicester Road.

Signs cause confusion
They were left wondering whether the the road was open or closed as a result of the error in the signage on the High Street.
Leicester Road is closed between 9am & 3pm everyday this week for on-going carriageway patching works, which is taking place in sections between the Bowden Lane junction and the Innovation Centre roundabout.
Leicestershire County Council, which is carrying out the works, told Hfm: “We have been made aware of the issue and have asked the traffic management company to ensure the signs are changed for when the next planned closure takes place tomorrow.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Meanwhile, four-way temporary traffic lights have come into force today at the St Mary’s Road/Kettering Road/Clarence Street junction in Market Harborough, which has been causing queuing traffic on all approaches.
It is to allow for Severn Trent Water to continue to replace water pipes.
