Showground Transformed For ‘Operation Market Harborough’

Written by on 2nd August 2024

Thousands of people are set to descend on Market Harborough Showground this weekend as the venue is transformed back to war-time.

Operation Market Harborough will include military vehicle displays, re-enactments, 1940s-themed live music and vintage stalls.

The WW2 and post war living history event is for the whole family and is taking place tomorrow and Sunday.

It is the second year it has been organised by Mick Crook, building on the success of the previous ‘Harborough At War’ event.

Mick told us more about it and how it will support charities and good causes:

Gates are open between 9.30am and 5pm on both days and a Big Band dance will also take place on Saturday evening.
