Shoppers Express Sadness At Wilko Closure

People in Market Harborough have expressed their sadness the town’s Wilko store is to close.
The shop in St Mary’s Place will shut its doors for good on Sunday, with all 24 members of staff losing their jobs.
It will be one of the first of 400 Wilko stores to close, after administrators were unable to find a buyer for the homeware retailer.
These shoppers spoke to HFM after visiting the shop today:

Members of staff were told the shop would close yesterday, with their final day of employment to be next Tuesday.
All of the chain’s shops nationwide will close by early October, with the loss of over 9,000 jobs.
Kyra Williams, President of Market Harborough Chamber of Trade and Commerce told HFM it will be a big loss for the town centre:
