Shop Window Transformed Into Winter Scene

Written by on 11th December 2020

The front of an empty shop in Market Harborough’s Church Street has been transformed into a wintry scene.

Harborough District Council has worked with town businesses to create it, together with a floral design above it, in support of the ‘shop local’ initiative and to promote its Visit Harborough brand.

Retailers suggested fun artistic pieces should be used in the town centre with the hope this will be the first of many.

The window has been brought to life by Izzika Design & Print, who teamed up with The Flower Bar at the Eco Village in Market Harborough, who have created the floral installation above it.

Some festive signage is also being installed across Lutterworth and Market Harborough, encouraging people to ‘shop local’ this Christmas.

As well as ensuring that people remain safe while shopping, maintaining social distancing, wearing face coverings, and regularly washing hands, the display aims to promote the ‘local small business experience’ during the festive season.
