School Unveils Expansion Plans

Plans have been revealed to expand Welland Park Academy in Market Harborough.
A two-storey extension is being proposed to create additional classrooms in the science block, along with the expansion of two toilet blocks on the Welland Park Road site.

The plan submitted to Harborough District Council details the demolition of existing ancillary stores to make-way for the extension.
A document included in the application says: “This application seeks approval for refurbishment and extension works at Welland Park Academy.
The redevelopments are needed to improve the facilities and teaching environment for the students.
“The designs within each area will be of highly efficient and good quality construction with an attractive, modern aesthetic.”
