Rothwell Murder Suspect Remanded In Custody

A man from Rothwell has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with murder.

Connor White, of Spencer Street, made a brief appearance before Magistrates’ in Northampton yesterday.

The 25-year-old is charged with one count of murder following the death of 34-year-old Ryan Burton in Kettering last month.

He is also accused of robbery in Wallis Road, Kettering, on January 10th.

White will appear at Northampton Crown Court next week, along with 23-year-old Kyle Derek McSkimming, of Pen Green Lane, Corby, who faces the same charges.

Three other men are currently on remand after being charged with murder and robbery.

Keiton Underwood, 20, from Desborough, Cameron Williams-Ferguson, 25, from Kettering and 18-year-old Ace Hill from Corby, are next due before Northampton Crown Court on March 21.

Ryan, who was originally from Corby, was seriously assaulted in Spring Rise park, near Highfield Road, Kettering shortly before 7pm on Friday, January 10.

He died at University Hospital Coventry six days later.

Ten others arrested as part of the investigation have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
