Robert Smyth Academy Unveils New £6.5m Teaching Block

A new state-of-the-art maths and science block has opened at Robert Smyth Academy in Market Harborough.
The Lime Building has cost £6.5m and features eleven classrooms, five science labs and a canteen.
Principal is Dan Cleary told HFM the development represents a 100-year investment in the future of education in the town:

The new building has been funded by Leicestershire County Council and the Tudor Grange Academies Trust and will help the school accommodate increasing student numbers.

The Lime Building continues the academy’s tradition of naming teaching blocks after trees, reflecting its connection to the Hammond Arboretum on the site.
