Roadworks Bring Misery For Drivers

Drivers are facing delays on one of the main routes in and out of Market Harborough due to two sets of roadworks.

Work has started today on highway improvements outside the new Aldi store being built on Rockingham Road, while Severn Trent Water is carrying out work at the St Mary’s Road/Kettering Road and Clarence Street.

There are lane closures at both locations and temporary traffic lights have replaced the normal signals at the junctions.

There have been lengthy queues in both directions on Rockingham Road and on other approaches to the junctions.

The work associated with the Aldi store are set to take seven weeks, while the Severn Trent Water works should be completed on Thursday.
