River Wardens Recruited In Market Harborough

A team of River Wardens have been recruited in Market Harborough to keep a close eye on what’s happening in the Welland.
The volunteers have been trained in survey techniques to monitor the water and what’s living in it.
Essentially it will help determine how clean and healthy the river is.
Six members of the Market Harborough Environment Group have signed up to scheme launched by the Welland Rivers Trust, which aims to have wardens along the whole length of the river.
