Heatwave Delays Installation Of New Pitch
Written by HFM News on 31st July 2018
The replacement of Harborough Town Football Club’s pitch has been delayed because of the heatwave.
Contractors have been unable to lay the tarmac base for the new 3G artificial pitch because of the hot weather.
It means the first team will have to play all games away from home for the first few weeks of the new season, which starts of Saturday.
It’s hoped the pitch will be in place by the end of August – an extension to the car park at Bowden’s Park is set to be finished a month later.
The work is part of £800,000 worth of improvements at the club.
