Rise In Taxi Fares Across Harborough Approved

A rise in taxi fares across Harborough has been approved.
Harborough District’s Cabinet backed a request from the taxi trade at a meeting last night, meaning tariffs will go up by 4.8%, subject to no major objections.
The call to increase fares was made to reflect the significant increase in operating costs for taxi firms, including the cost of fuel.
It will be the first time in four years that fares have gone up.
