Residents Across Harborough To Pay More For Policing
Written by HFM News on 2nd February 2023
Residents across Harborough will be paying more for Policing from April.
The amount charged in council tax bills will increase by £15 a year for a Band D property, taking the total to just over £273.
Leicestershire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Rupert Matthews says the rise is well below the rate of inflation, to help families struggling with the rising cost of living.
A public consultation into proposed rises in the amount charged for Policing received nearly 2300 responses from across the force area, with just over half (50.3%) opting for an increase of £15 in their police precept.
