Repair Work Continues After Water Main Bursts In Kibworth

Repair work is continuing after a water main burst on the outskirts of Kibworth earlier today.

Severn Trent Water say supplies should now be returning to normal, after many homes and businesses saw taps run dry as a result of the leak.

The burst happened at around 11.30pm on the A6, near the Debdale Lane junction, and led to the road being closed for a time, due to flooding.

A Severn Trent spokesperson told HFM: “Our team has been working to get customers affected by the burst water main on the A6 reconnected and all properties are reinstated to the water supply.

“Traffic management is in the process of being set up to keep everyone safe and repairs will take place and be completed today.

“Once again, we would like to apologise for any inconvenience while we complete this important repair work and thank people for their patience.”
