It looks like Desborough Library has been saved from closure.
Northamptonshire County Council has announced it is set to become a community-managed library which would not be staffed by the authority, but still supported by it.
There has been a big campaign to save the facility, after it and 20 others were faced with closure as part of cost-cutting.
A voluntary group that has been pushing to save the Library will await a final decision on a series of revised proposals for the future of the library service, before pushing ahead with their plan to take-on running it
Earlier this year a family from Desborough won a judicial review that ruled the way the Council had gone about the closure plan was unlawful.
