A Market Harborough Dance School will get to perform its annual show after the Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering was given a stay of execution.
The Core Dance Company faced a desperate search for a new venue, after it was announced the theatre would shut at the end of this month.
But the closure has now been put back to the start of July, meaning the two-day shows by almost 300 youngsters can still go-ahead as planned.

Youngsters celebrate news the annual show can still take place
The performances by the Core Dance Company on July 1st and 2nd will be last shows at the theatre, before the doors close for good.
Jess Vaughan who runs the school, spoke to HFM:
Increasing running costs have been blamed for the decision to close the theatre, which is part of Kettering Conference Centre.
A spokesperson for Kettering Conference Centre said: “We have heard the concerns raised by the local community about the closure of Kettering Conference Centre which includes The Lighthouse Theatre, Balance Health Club and Arena Leisure Centre.
“We recognise that the site and in particular the theatre and the gym are important to the community.
“Therefore, to support our employees and give our partners more time to find alternative solutions, we have agreed with the landlord an extension to our tenancy until Monday 3 July 2023.
“We will continue to operate the site and keep the facilities open until this date. As we are the tenant, going forward it is for the Landlord and the Council to decide on the future of the site.”
