Reform UK Wins First Seat On HDC

Reform UK has won its first seat on Harborough District Council after a by-election in the Fleckney ward.
Jonny Austin was elected after securing 551 votes in yesterday’s poll – 98 more than the Liberal Democrats who came second.
The Conservatives – who previous held the seat – were third with 416 votes, followed by the Green party and Labour.

The by-election was triggered by the resignation of long-serving councillor Stephen Bilbie, who moved away from the area.
