Pub Owner Trying To Re-Build Business After Fire Ordered To Remove Signs

A pub owner has branded villagers ‘petty’ after some complained about new signs put up on the wall outside.
The Texas Steakhouse relocated to the Black Horse in Foxton last month after the previous premises 500 yards away was gutted by fire, following a burglary and arson attack nine months ago.
The Steakhouse sign and a Sky Sports Banner were put up, but Harborough Council has ordered for them to be taken down, as they don’t have planning consent, needed as the pub being in a conservation area.
Shaun French says the complaint is needless as he tries his best to keep a pub open in the village and re-build his business.
He told Hfm for now the signs will remain up, as it’s the only way customers will know the Steakhouse is now based at the pub.
