Power Cut In Part Of Market Harborough

A power cut has left over 90 properties in Market Harborough with no electricity.

National Grid says homes and businesses in the Welland Park Road and Springfield Street areas are affected, as well as the town centre end of Northampton Road.

Drivers are being urged to take extra care, as the outage means traffic lights are not working at the Northampton Road/Welland Park Road and Springfield Street junction, as well as on Springfield Street at the entrance to the Sainsbury’s car park.

An underground network fault is being blamed for the problem and it is hoped all supplies will be restored by 9.30pm.
