Posy’s BAFTA Nomination Is ‘Dream Come True’

Market Harborough actress Posy Sterling says ‘it’s a dream come true’ to be nominated for this year’s BAFTA Rising Star award.
The former Welland Park and Robert Smyth Academy student was nominated for her lead role in the British film Lollipop, in which she plays a young mother fighting to regain custody of her children after leaving prison.

Issues raised in the film were discussed in Parliament last week, and it is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
Posy will also star in ‘Dirty Business’, a new three-part Channel 4 factual drama airing from February 23rd, which explores the human impact of sewage pollution based on a decade-long investigation into England’s water.
Posy, founder of Screen School in Market Harborough, spoke to HFM’s Nick Shaw about the nomination:
