‘Pop and Shop’ Bays Closed for Roofing Work

The 30-minute ‘Pop and Shop’ bays in Sainsbury’s car park in Market Harborough are temporarily out of use while roofing work is carried out at the store.
Fencing was put up last week but removed by Harborough District Council after it was unclear who had installed it.
The closure is now confirmed, with the free-to-park bays blocked off for safety.

Part of the pavement has also been closed and while pedestrians can still pass, those using pushchairs or mobility scooters must step into the road, raising safety concerns.
Harborough District Council says it has raised accessibility issues with the car park owners and stressed that the work should be completed as quickly as possible.
Sainsbury’s has been approached for comment.
