Police Say ‘The Net Is Closing In’ on Nuisance Bikers

A police crackdown on nuisance motorcyclists in Desborough is already producing results.

Northamptonshire Police say one rider was caught after initially failing to stop for officers before falling from their bike while trying to get away.

The rider was uninjured but has been reported for failing to stop for police and driving without insurance. The motorcycle was seized.

One rider was caught after initially failing to stop for officers before falling from their bike while trying to get away & other stolen bikes were found hidden in the town.

Officers also recovered two other motorcycles hidden in undergrowth in the town, both of which had been reported stolen.

Police say the action forms part of ongoing efforts to tackle nuisance bikes in Desborough and have warned that “the net is closing in” on those responsible.

They are encouraging residents to continue reporting incidents and say they will keep the community updated where possible without affecting operational activity.
