Police Interview Teenagers After Vandalism Spree

Police have questioned a woman aged 19 and a 15-year-old boy about a spate of criminal damage in Market Harborough.
They were voluntarily interviewed by officers this morning, who say the investigation is on-going, and no charges have yet been brought.
Christmas decorations, garden items and some cars were damaged in eight streets off Coventry Road in the early hours of Sunday.
Officers say they identified the two thanks to help they received from the public and continue to appeal for information.
Sergeant Darren Richardson said: “I would like to take the opportunity to thank the local community in Market Harborough for their assistance.
“As a result of the help we’ve received, we have identified and spoken to two people in connection with these incidents and further enquiries are continuing.
“I would still ask that anyone who witnessed damage being caused – or has any footage that could assist the ongoing investigation – to get in touch.”
A number of reports were received stating damage had been caused to outside Christmas trees and external decorations, vehicles and garden items in areas including Gardiner Street, Morley Street, Highfield Street, Wartnaby Street, Logan Street, Clarke Street, Highcross Street and East Street.
