Plans For Harborough & Melton Councils To Share Senior Staff Moves Forward

A plan for Harborough District Council to share a Chief Executive and other senior members of staff with Melton Borough Council has moved forward.
A 188-page business case has been prepared, ahead of councillors making a final decision on the idea next month.
It states the authority would save over £687,000 over three years if the move went ahead.
Both councils will have to approve the plan for the collaboration to happen – if it does it will be the first partnership arrangement of its kind in Leicestershire.
