Plans to expand pupil numbers at a Market Harborough secondary school have taken a major step forward after approval was granted for a new teaching block.
Welland Park Academy has been given the go-ahead to build the two-storey facility on a disused section of the school site.

The development will include five new classrooms and a car parking area as part of a wider £5.2 million investment aimed at increasing capacity by 150 pupils over the next five years.
School leaders say the expansion is needed to meet growing demand for places in the area and work on the new building is expected to begin later this year.
