Petition Launched To Save Buses

A petition has been launched in a bid to get bus company Arriva to re-think its decision to slash services on Market Harborough’s Southern Estate.
Concerns passengers who rely on the X3 to get to and from the town centre for things like doctors appointments and shopping are behind it.
It was revealed earlier this week the number of buses stopping on the estate will be cut from 26 a day to eight later this month – with none between 10am and 4pm.
The petition is going door to door and also available to be signed in the café at Harborough Market.
Arriva say the decision to remove several journeys from the estate follows a review of passenger numbers and boarding times on local services.
