Man Denies Damaging Car During Hunt

A man from Saddington has denied smashing the window of a hunt saboteur’s car with a hammer.

Ryan Gilbert is accused of criminal damage and using threatening behaviour, following the alleged incident near Theddingworth on November 24^th last year, during a meeting of the Fernie Hunt.

The 27-year-old pleaded not guilty to both charges when appeared at Leicester Magistrates earlier today and will now face trial next month.
