Petition Calls For Action At A6 Accident Blackspot
Written by HFM News on 12th June 2020
A petition has been launched calling for urgent safety improvements at an accident blackspot on the outskirts of Market Harborough.
It follows the latest crash at the Kettering Road turn on the A6 at Clack Hill earlier this week.
Although a roundabout is planned for the junction, as part of a new housing development, there is no indication when it will be put in place, and the petition calls for Highway bosses to act now.
James Towson has launched it on-line:
The driver involved in the latest crash escaped uninjured, although there have been several this year in which people have been seriously hurt.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire County Council said: “We’re aware of the reported incident on the A6.
“We’ve been carefully assessing the details of accident data from the location over a period of time and we continue to evaluate if there are measures which could be introduced.
“The council also has to consider that the junction is being changed to a roundabout in due course as part of a housing development. We don’t, at this stage, have a timescale for the work to start on the roundabout.”
