Person Dies After Being Struck By Train

A person has died after being struck by a train in Little Bowden.
Emergency services were called to the railway off Glebe Road yesterday evening.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to the line near Market Harborough railway station at around 9pm yesterday (12 January) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Train services were suspended following the incident.
