Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Collision On B6047 Near Market Harborough

A woman has been seriously injured after being involved in collision with a heavy goods vehicle on the B6047 near Market Harborough.
Police say the pedestrian was taken to hospital following the incident on Melton Road just before midday, near the Langton Garden Centre.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told HFM: “We received a report around 11.50am today (Monday 13 March) of a collision involving a HGV and a pedestrian.
“The female pedestrian has been taken to hospital and her condition is described as serious.
“The pedestrian’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.”
The B6047 was closed in both directions, but reopened just after 3pm.
