Passengers Warned Of Rail Disruption This Weekend

Market Harborough’s train users are being warned there will be no direct services to and from London this weekend because of engineering works.

A reduced timetable will be operated by East Midlands Railway on Saturday and Sunday, with all services beginning and terminating at Bedford.

Buses will then take passengers to Hitchin, where they can board rail services to the capital.

Gavin Crook, principal programme sponsor for Network Rail’s East Midlands route, said: “We want to thank all passengers for their patience and understanding and encourage them to check before they travel via National Rail Enquiries or their train operator to ensure they are aware of any impact on their journeys.”
