‘Overwhelming’ Response To Toy Appeal

A record amount of toys have been donated by HFM listeners to this year’s Toys On The Table Appeal.

Over 3,000 have been dropped in over the past few weeks, to the delight of the organisers.
Together with donations across Leicestershire, the total collected has reached over 10,000 – with an estimated value of £100,000.
Volunteers at the charity say they are overwhelmed by the support of people from in and around Market Harborough.
The appeal will ensure around 4,000 disadvantaged children receive at least two presents to open on Christmas Day, when they otherwise wouldn’t, including a number in the Harborough District.
