There is opposition to plans to turn land in Little Bowden into a private dog walking field.
Over 60 people have raised objections with Harborough Council after the proposal for the two and a half acre site off Braybrooke Road, currently used as as grazing land for sheep, was announced last month.

Concerns include the site becoming an eye-sore, as fencing would be put up around it, problems with increased traffic and parking and fears if approved it could pave the way for houses being built there in the future.
People also say there already plenty of public areas for dog walking, including the near-by recreation ground.
The applicant says it will create a safe and secure area for people to pay to walk and exercise their pets.
