Opposition Mounts To Kibworth Care Home Plan

Opposition is mounting against plans for a new care home in Kibworth Beauchamp.
Over 60 people have lodged objections to the 72-bedroom facility being built off Fleckney Road, adjacent to The Nurseries.
The parish council also strongly opposes the plan.
Concerns include the building being an eyesore in the countryside location and the plan going against the Kibworths’ Neighbourhood Plan, which maps out where development can go.

Tanglewood Care Homes say the complex would include a cafe, bar, hair salon, cinema, games room, landscaped grounds and quiet wellness lounges.
The company says there is a need for such a facility, but some objectors say there are spaces in other care homes in the area,
Harborough District Council is expected to consider the proposal by the end of the year.
