Nobby’s Royal Visit!

A villager from Husbands Bosworth will be rubbing shoulders with royalty this afternoon at the Queen’s Garden Party.
John ‘Nobby’ Clarke is one of a select few invited to Buckingham Palace for their service to their local community and society in general.

He has organised the Poppy Appeal for the Royal British Legion in the Husbands Bosworth area for the past 25 years, and the Festival and Party in The Park event in the village for 15 years, raising over £70,000 for charity.
Nobby, who is attending the party with his wife Carol, told HFM he couldn’t believe it when he received a phone call telling him about it:
