No Trains As Latest Strike Action Begins

No train services are running from Market Harborough today after drivers walked out on strike.
It is the latest action by members of the ASLEF Union at East Midlands Railway, in a dispute over pay and working conditions.

Separate strike action by the RMT Union will mean a significantly reduced rail service tomorrow.
An EMT spokesperson said: “Only travel by rail if absolutely necessary and if you do travel, expect severe disruption.
“We also advise you to check the days in between strike action as trains are subject to short notice alterations and cancellations.”
Further planned strike action on May 31st and June 3rd will also mean now rail services operating from Market Harborough.
