New Signs Promote Harborough & Lutterworth

Flagging up some of the area’s many tourist attractions is the thinking behind new, brown, road signs which have just appeared across Harborough.

They have been installed by the District Council, on the outskirts of both Market Harborough and Lutterworth.

It is hoped the new tourist signage reflects more accurately what is on offer in the Harborough District’s two largest market towns – encouraging passing visitors to stop off and use local facilities and services.

Cllr Jo Asher, Cabinet lead for Culture, Leisure, Economy and Tourism, said: “We are pleased to work with Leicestershire Highways Authority to improve the signage.

“Our two market towns are really worthwhile places to visit and experience, plus there’s plenty of choices of great places to eat, drink and stay over.

“Supporting the vibrancy of our town centres to boost the local economy is an important priority of ours.”
