New SEND School in Market Harborough Set to Open This September

A new school for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Market Harborough is on track to open this September.
Aurora Brampton Valley School is being developed on the site of the former Roman Way Community Centre and will cater for more than 70 pupils aged 5 to 19.

The project is being delivered by The Aurora Group, a leading UK provider of education, care, and support for children and young people with SEND.
The headteacher and deputy headteacher have just begun work to prepare for the autumn term opening.

The site was purchased in August 2025, and planning permission was granted by Harborough District Council in December.
Since then, work has included external building alterations, creation of classrooms, and development of a multi-use games area.
Aurora Brampton Valley School will support children whose needs cannot be met in mainstream education, providing specialist facilities for pupils from Market Harborough and across Leicestershire.
