Market Harborough Town Centre Welcomes New Businesses

Market Harborough town centre is set for a boost with the arrival of several new businesses.

Franchised bathroom retailer Ripples is set to open a showroom in the Old Town Hall later this month, while luxury home furnishings and kitchens company Neptune has just opened on the High Street.

Matthew and Teresa Walker, owners of the new Ripples showroom, said the move is an exciting step for both the business and the local community.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing Ripples to Market Harborough,” said the Walkers. “Our focus is on creating spaces that are visually striking and designed around how our clients live. Market Harborough felt like the perfect fit, with its vibrant high street and mix of independent and national retailers. We’re proud to be adding something new to the town.”

As part of the launch, Ripples will be recruiting a bathroom designer and plans to work with local installation partners to deliver projects for clients. The showroom is targeting an opening date of 13th April.

Neptune has taken on 42 High Street

Meanwhile, Neptune has taken on 42 High Street, a Georgian-era building previously occupied by Brookhouse College, which has been restored to provide an elegant backdrop for its range of home furnishings and kitchens.

David Draper from Jarrom’s Property Consultants said: “A company of Neptune’s quality investing in Market Harborough is a real fillip for the town and could change the dynamic of the High Street.”

The influx of new businesses follows last week’s announcement that department store Boyes will move into the former Wilko site, while national gallery chain Clarendon Fine Art is set to open in the former Santander bank premises.

Other recent openings include Wool Zone at the Old Fire Station in Abbey Street, Windowsill, a houseplant shop, which has relocated to a new shop on Roman Way and Interiors By Design on Welland Business Park.
