Written by on 8th July 2024

The first children who’ll be taught at a new school in Market Harborough have been to visit the site.

There’ll be 17 youngsters in the foundation class when Wellington Place Primary School opens on the Airfield Farm estate at the end of next month.

It’s the town’s first new school in over 20 years and is being built by Leicestershire County Council at a cost of over nine million pounds.

Cressida Knox is the headteacher:

She adds that the site is very impressive – with plenty of room to expand the school in the future.

Construction of the new school is almost complete
