Neighbourhood Forums Give Harborough Residents’ Greater Voice

People living in Market Harborough are being given a greater voice on local issues thanks to the creation of Neighbourhood Forums.
After one was set-up in Little Bowden earlier this year, a group in the Welland ward is now set to be officially recognised, with the Logan, Arden and Town Centre areas also set to have their own.
They have been formed by the Harborough Town Hub, a non-party political group, to give residents a better say on local issues affecting their communities, as there is no town or parish councils in Market Harborough, unlike other parts of the district.
The forums, made-up of local residents, meet regularly to discuss issues, like planning, flooding, traffic and the care of green spaces, with support from Harborough District Council.
