National Lottery boost for young people in the Harborough District

Disadvantaged and isolated young people in the HFM area are set to benefit from a cash boost from the National Lottery.
Harborough District Children and Young People’s Charity has been awarded a new, 5-year grant from the Lottery’s Community Fund for its ‘Youth Connect Project’.
It plans to use the money to expand the number of weekly term-time drop-in youth clubs for young people in the rural villages – and provide a new mentoring service to compliment these sessions for young people who need additional support.
It also hopes to increase the reach of its long running youth-led and written “Speak Out Magazine” – by drawing in more youth voices and making it available online.
