MP’s Local Plan Flooding Concerns

Despite Harborough District Councillors voting on Monday (3rd March 2025) to put their long awaited Local Plan out to public consultation, Harborough’s MP says it still needs more work…

Neil O’Brien is calling for the plan to do more to reduce the flooding impact of new developments, saying some of its current wording is contradictory.

He’s especially concerned for the residents of Great Glen, badly affected again by flooding in January, (below) who now also face the prospect of a new ‘town’ being built all around them…
