More Parking Spaces Planned For St Luke’s Hospital

Written by on 25th September 2018

Over 30 more parking spaces are planned for the St Luke’s Hospital in Market Harborough.

NHS bosses want to create them on a disused area of the Leicester Road site and introduce a one-way system to improve the way vehicles move around it.

The widening of some of the roads through it, new street lighting, and the creation of proper parking bays in other areas is also earmarked, as well as double yellow lines to ban parking on some parts of the site.

There have been complaints about not enough parking since the St Luke’s Treatment Centre opened last year.

A planning application for the changes has been handed to the Council for consideration.
