Charity’s Donation To Fund Essential Computer Upgrade At HFM

The Howard Watson Symington Memorial Charity has awarded HFM over £3,000 so vital computer equipment can be replaced.

The radio station is extremely grateful to the Market Harborough-based charity for the grant, which will enable the continued smooth operation of our output.

The funds of £3,170 will facilitate the replacement of one the station’s computer servers, which has been running for many years and nearing the end of it’s life.

HFM’s Chris Jones said “Like everything else in life, things wear out – including our server – which is vital to the operation of the service.

“We are extremely grateful to the trustees of the charity for their generous support which will enable a replacement.”

The Howard Watson Symington Memorial Charity supports community groups and individuals in Market Harborough, Great Bowden and Little Bowden, with volunteer trustees meet every six to eight weeks to consider applications.
