Medical Centre Had Highest Rate Of In-Person GP Appointments In England Last Month

Market Harborough Medical Centre and its sister surgeries had the highest rate of face-to-face GP appointments in the country last month.

Data has been released by the NHS for the first time, after calls for practices to be held to account for failing to see patients in-person during the pandemic.

Just 0.4% of GP appointments at the Coventry Road surgery, St Luke’s branch surgery and Husbands Bosworth Medical Centre took place remotely.

Across England one in three GP practices held more consultations remotely than face-to-face – in some areas 80% of appointments were by phone or video-call.
