Thousands turned out to enjoy the Market Harborough Food and Drink Festival over the weekend!
It was the second time the event had been held in Welland Park – organisers say they an estimated 11,000 people went along.
The festival included 40 food and drink stalls, with many familiar faces from the monthly Farmers’ Market selling their locally produced food and drink alongside traders that had travelled from far and wide.
Cllr Lesley Bowles, Harborough District Council Chairman, said: “We are absolutely delighted that the event has been such a success. There has been some fantastic feedback from the public, which is wonderful to hear.”
The event, regarded as one of the best Summer food festivals in the East Midlands, attracted a mouth-watering array of food and drink traders, with everything from gourmet marshmallows and wild beaver pie to Brazilian dough balls, Caribbean jerk chicken and Mexican street food, all washed down with fresh orange juice, smoothies, beer and speciality gin!
