Arsonists Strike At Site Of Illegal Rave

A building at a disused mushroom farm near Great Bowden was left badly damaged after a deliberately started fire on Saturday.

Fire crews were called to the site on Welham Lane – which was the scene of an illegal rave last weekend – at 4.30pm.

A large quantity of rubbish inside had been set alight with the blaze engulfing to the structure and causing the roof to collapse.

Firefighters worked at the scene for two and half hours – the fire spread slightly to other buildings although they were able to prevent them from fulling setting on fire.
