Harborough’s ‘Mr Cycling’ Nominated For National Award

A Market Harborough man whose enthusiasm for cycling is described as ‘amazing’ has been shortlisted in the Unsung Hero category of the BBC’s Sport Personality of the Year awards.

Dean Barnett is one of three finalists from the East Midlands, recognising his tireless voluntary work with the Welland Valley Cycling Club.

He dedicates hundreds of hours a month to the sport, running the popular Whizz Kids club in Market Harborough and assisting with numerous other events.
