Market Harborough Tip To Re-Open On May 18th

Market Harborough’s tip will re-open later this month on an appointment-only basis.
People will have to book a 15 minute slot in advance before going to the recycling and household waste site on Riverside.
That is so the number of people there at one time is limited, to allow social distancing measures to be maintained.
The Harborough site is one of seven being re-opened by Leicestershire County Council on May 18th, which also includes the site in Oadby, and will be open seven days a week, although opening hours are still to be announced.
County Councillor Kevin Feltham from Kibworth spoke to Hfm:
All the tips were shut in March because of the Coronavirus pandemic – the site in Kibworth is remaining closed.
The County Council will release more details soon on the process for booking a slot to go to tip and it will only be open to Leicestershire residents.
